Model Selection of Bucket Elevator

 As common used lifting equipment, selection of bucket elevator is effected by many factors, wrong model will give customers endless troubles. Generally, model selection of bucket elevator depends on the following factors.

1. Material shape: powder, granular or small lump material.

2. Physical property: adsorbability or viscosity, and moisture content.

3. Proportion of material: common bucket elevator parameters are designed and calculated according to the materials which mass density under 1.6. While large proportion of materials are according to tensile strength of traction and drive part.

4. Unit conveying capacity:

Generally speaking, shape of material directly determines the discharging method. It is common practice that powder materials use centrifugal discharge and gravity discharge for lump materials. In addition, different charge method determines the different type of bucket, centrifugal discharge always use shallow or arc bucket, while deep bucket for gravity discharge. The unit conveying capacity of bucket elevator is different as its different bucket type. The conveying capacity of bucket elevator is a comprehensive parameter that depends on bucket type, speed, proportion of material, property of material and number of bucket. The Solution to Solve Blockage of Bucket Elevator

If there is blockage, please stop feeding material immediately, if serious ,please stop the machine and check the cause of blockage. Please use a shovel or special tools to clear up the blocked materials instead of hands.

1.If blockage is caused by big lump material entering into the base , please stop machine ,remove big lump materials and plugging materials.
2.If blockage is caused by insufficient tension of bucket belt, please adjust the tension after removing plugging materials. 
3.If blockage is caused by large feed flow rate which exceeds the bucket elevator capacity, please adjust the control valve or use other methods to control the flow rate after removing plugging materials .
4.If blockage is caused by feed before start-up, please remove plugging materials, start up the bucket elevatoragain and operate in strict accordance with the rules. You can only feed the materials after non-load running is normal.

How to deal with the phenomenon of bucket elevator returning material too much?

  The phenomenon of returning material in operating bucket elevator is that the material can’t completely discharge from the bucket elevator but some falls into the inside of machine. When lifting the material, if there is returning so much material, it will reduce production efficiency, increase power consumption and material broken percentage.
 The reasons why there is returning so much material and the approaches to solve them are as following:

1.The speed of hopper is so fast. When the bucket elevator lifts different materials, the speed of hopper is different. In general, lifting dry powder or granular material, the speed is about 1~2m/s; lifting lump material, the speed is about 0.4~0.6m/s; lifting wet powder or granular material, the speed is about 0.6~0.8m/s. If the speed is too fast, the material will be discharged in advance and then causes the phenomenon of feeding material back. At this time, we should bring down the speed of hopper according to the lifting material.

2.The discharge tongue plate in die exit is installed improper. If the discharged tongue plate is far from dumped position, it will cause return material. So we should adjust the position of tongue plate in time.
